Before first use, wash the pot with warm water and a mild detergent, then rinse well and dry with a soft cloth. For best cooking results, always grease the interior surface of the pot with a thin layer of cooking oil or fat and let it heat for a minute before adding ingredients. If cooking on a gas stove, adjust the flame so that it only covers the base of the pot. Always use wooden or plastic utensils for stirring and do not cut food directly in the pot. Do not use steel wool or abrasive products.
